There is a lot of talk among Taylor Swift fans about which of her songs her father likes best, but Scott Swift hasn’t said anything about it in public.

A few Swift fan posts on X told the story of three Swifties who saw “Papa Swift” by accident while he was meeting friends for breakfast. The fan accounts were linked to a TikTok video made on March 16 by @rupley, who is also known as Alex. The video showed the interaction.

The three Swifties in the video tried to figure out how to talk to a man who looks like Scott. The man stood in line and then sat down with his friends at a table next to the Swifties.

The TikTok’s caption says that finally, a Swiftie went up to the man and asked if he was really Taylor’s dad. They said he said yes and then talked about how excited he was for them to be able to hear Taylor’s 11th solo album, The Tortured Poets Department, when it comes out on April 19.

The man who said his name was Scott then told them that his favorite album is the new one. He then gave them some of his daughter’s guitar picks, which he often brings with him to give to fans.

With a little more than a month to go, Swiftie’s excitement about The Tortured Poets Department is growing. Fans were shocked when Taylor told them about it at the 2024 Grammy Awards on February 4, while she was accepting her record-breaking fourth Album of the Year award for her 2022 album Midnights.

Following the news of her record, Taylor has been very busy. Her international Eras Tour began with stops in Australia and Singapore, keeping her very busy. She is now taking a short break from performing until May, when the European and U.K. parts of her Eras Tour start.
