WWE superstars John Cena and Erling Haaland have left football fans in stitches after starring in a promotional film for Manchester City’s pre-season tour of the United States.

City posted the funny video on their official X account, showing Haaland accepting a call from a secret super fan. The Norweigan answers the phone to the 16-time world champion.

“How come I can’t see you?”

John Cena hilariously responds while donning a wig to try and pull off his best Haaland impression. The wig may also remind movie fans of his lead role in the new flick Ricky Stanicky. The WWE icon responds:

“You can’t see me? Camera must be broken… anyway what’s this I hear about a US tour?”

Haaland confirms Manchester City’s pre-season trip of the United States, as John Cena celebrates amusingly live on the stream. The Premier League’s top scorer finally spots the WWE star and informs him:

“You have to stop doing this.”

Haaland’s meteoric rise at Manchester City is comparable to how Cena established himself in WWE. Since joining the Etihad in July 2022, the Norwegian international has 81 goals and 15 assists in 87 games throughout all competitions.

City will hope to have achieved more trophy success when they travel to the United States for preseason. Pep Guardiola’s side is still competing in three competitions.

They are now third in the Premier League and have gone to the FA Cup semifinals (against Chelsea on April 20). The defending European champions are also in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, taking on Real Madrid.
