Inspired by the film “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” the video portrays Peaches (Ariana Grande) trying to move on after a breakup but struggling to do so. She decides to erase memories of her ex-lover at a clinic, but when memories resurface, she can’t help but hold onto a necklace given to her. This action reveals that Peaches never wаnted to forget the person and the beautiful memories they shared. 

The story in the music video reflects the common emotions experienced when love ends, including heartache and the difficulty of letting go.
