John Cena’s retirement: WWE legend announces when he will conclude his wrestling career

WWE icon John Cena appears to be nearing the end of his lengthy career in wrestling. In a recent admission, the 46-year-old legend acknowledged his impending retirement, offering details on when he plans to end his celebrated wrestling career.

During an entertaining interview with ET’s Nischelle Turner on Tuesday, the seasoned wrestler, who is also promoting Argylle, stated categorically that he intends to retire from wrestling soon. “That isn’t a maybe. “That time will come, and it will come quickly,” Cena declared. As the WWE universe prepares for this huge transformation, the question remains: Are we witnessing the end of John Cena’s wrestling legacy?

Regarding WrestleMania, which takes place in April, Cena hinted at his likely attendance, citing weekend flexibility due to his movie schedule. However, he made it clear that when he says he’s done, he means it, understanding WWE’s cycle of retirements and comebacks. Cena believes it is time to transfer the energy to the next generation of performers who can deliver on a consistent basis.

John Cena was last seen on the 2022 WWE SmackDown. In Fastlane, he and LA Knight defeated The Bloodline. Following the event, Cena was asked how long he intended to continue. He stated that more work is needed to reach his previous level. Cena, 46, revealed that his wrestling days are over.

“I’ve always said this won’t be my last match, but I know the last one is getting closer,” Cena shared. He promised not to disappoint the WWE fans but acknowledged that he needs to improve and find his groove again.
