Taylor Lautner, 31, and his wife, Tay, 26, discussed the singer on the most recent episode of “The Squeeze,” a podcast they host.

Lautner revealed on Wednesday’s episode, aptly titled “Taylor’s Version,” that the couple has been “flooded” with interview requests since the Twilight actor co-starred in Swift’s music video for “I Can See You,” which also stars Joey King and Presley Cash. However, “out of respect” for their friendship with the pop artist, he stated that they wanted to tell the story themselves.

Lautner referred to Swift as a “genius” and showed adoration for her, while his wife hailed her as “mastermind.”

“We’ve been very excited about this secret for the last few months,” he told me. “We’ve known how freaking awesome the video is for awhile now so [we] were just stoked for everybody to see it.”

Tay said, “She is collaborative, which is something I’ve never said about anyone. She does not need to collaborate. She is the mastermind.”

The registered nurse and social media influencer also revealed that her husband addressed how he would have handled Swift’s conflict with Kanye West at the 2009 VMAs differently on their podcast before the video “came to fruition.”

“You weren’t just saying that because you had done this video,” she told me. “You genuinely felt that.”

Lautner accepted, saying he was “honored to be asked” to be a part of the project overall.

The internet is infatuated with Taylor Swift’s friendship with Taylor Lautner and his wife, Tay Lautner.

Furthermore, the actor stated that being invited to join the pop artist onstage during her Eras tour stop in Kansas City was “one of the coolest experiences” and thanked the stadium’s audience for their support.

He cartwheeled and backflipped on stage before hugging Swift, paying homage to the scene they shared in the 2010 film Valentine’s Day.

The sweet moment occurred immediately following the Grammy winner’s surprise premiere of the “I Can See You” music video and one day after the Grammy winner released the long-awaited re-recording of her 2010 album Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), featuring the track “Back to December,” which was inspired by Lautner’s 2009 relationship with Swift.

“He was a tremendously positive force in my life while I was working on the Speak Now album, and I want to add that he did every single stunt you saw in the music video. “He and his wife have become some of my closest friends, and it’s very convenient because we all have the same first name,” Swift added before introducing Lautner on stage.
