Tiwatope Sɑvɑge, also known as Tiwa Sɑvɑge or Mother Jam Jam, is a Nigerian singer, composer, and actor. She was born on February 5, 1980, in Isale Eko. When she was eleven years old, she relocated to London to attend secondary school. She began singing backing vocals for American artists such as Mary J. Blige and George Michael.
Tiwa Sɑvɑge secured a publishing contract with Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2009, after competing in the UK edition of The X Factor and getting her music degree at Berklee College of Music.
Tiwa Sɑvɑge, inspired by the rapidly burgeoning Nigerian music business, returned home and secured a record deal with Mavin Records in 2012. She appeared on the label’s compilation album Solar Plexus, released in 2012.
