Mark Zuckerberg values his privacy so much that he had his superyachts discreetly sail away to the Mediterranean by turning off their necessary location transponders

Centillionaires who possess some of the world’s largest and most opulent ships frequently turn off their transponders and go dark for solitude. Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg have both done it. However, it all falls flat as their superyachts arrive at a pier. For example, Zuckerberg’s Launchpad and Wingman boats docked at the Club de Mar in Palma for the first time. He may have shut off the AIS during the luxury vessel’s cruise from the Americas to the Mediterranean, but the vessel stole the show the moment it docked. The $300 million Launchpad and its shadow vessel, the $30 million Wingman, arrived in Panama around Zuckerberg’s 40th birthday.

Wingman, the 220-foot-long support vessel that accompanies the Launchpad superyacht, transports supplies and water toys. However, billionaires like to spend their summers and superyachts in the Mediterranean, which is why the Meta CEO, who is worth $175 billion, had both ships cruise to Palma de Mallorca. Now, the luxurious boats of the man who clearly cherishes his privacy overshadow other vessels in the Mallorca harbour. There are so many paradoxes here: the man who built his $1.25 trillion corporation by selling other people’s private information wants privacy, but his pleasure boats outshine all other boats due to their size and grandeur.

Nonetheless, Zuckerberg seemed determined to avoid any further attention. As previously seen, the 387-foot Feadship beauty and its support vessel performed a vanishing act in May, turning off their AIS as they left Florida and headed south towards Jamaica. The Launchpad superyacht departed Panama on May 22nd and arrived in Gibraltar with Wingman aboard on June 4th, maybe to refuel. The vessels are now anchored at the Club de Mar in Palma, and have accidentally become the centre of attention. The impressive 4999 GT warship is difficult to miss.

It can accommodate 24 guests and a crew of 48, and is accompanied by the 220-foot Wingman, which has three guest cabins. It remains to be seen whether the boats will arrive in time to enjoy the Mediterranean summer. Perhaps Zuckerberg and his family will fly in shortly to spend their first summer on their luxurious sailboat.
