According to The Post, Kanye West bought a one-story property across the street just two months after Kim Kardashian transferred title of the marital dwelling to her name.
He paid $4.5 million, $421,000 more than the asking price, indicating a strong desire for the compact five-bedroom, four-bathroom home.
On December 1, the five-bedroom, four-bathroom Hidden Hills mansion was on the market for the first time in 67 years for $4.079 million, making it convenient for the rapper.
According to records, West, 44, closed on the house on December 20 using the LLC Spruce Blue Trust.
According to a source who spoke with The Post, the “Donda” singer has expressed a wish to “get his family back together,” but the house purchase was mostly for the children of his former wife.
According to an anonymous source, “it’s just basic logistics so that he is close to his children and has access to them at the drop of a hat.”
However, given that the property appears to be a far cry from what the Kardashian-Wests are used to, it appears that some improvements will be required.
The modest house is over 3,600 square feet and stands on more than an acre of property, including an equestrian ranch.
The interior is adorned with ancient wood panelling, cabinets, and shaggy beige rugs.
The features include a family area with a fireplace and sliding doors leading to the pool and horse corral. According to the advertisement, the house also includes a two-car attached garage with a guest unit that links to a pathway leading to the three-stall barn. The barn includes a tack room and hay storage spaces that are connected to a large horse paddock.
The same owners have lived on the property since its completion in 1955 and have preserved it in excellent condition.
The current kitchen was renovated in 2005 and now has an island, while the front lawn has just been rebuilt with drought-resistant AstroTurf.
