The Weeknd and Selena Gomez have reportedly taken their relationship to the next level by moving in together. The Starboy singer, 27, and the 25-year-old pop star, who began dating in January, are said to have settled into a luxurious apartment in New York City’s Greenwich Village.
“They are living in a low-rise luxury building in the heart of the Village. Selena is definitely immersing herself into the nitty gritty of New York,” a source shared with Entertainment Tonight. Their new home is described as featuring nearly 12-foot high ceilings, Juliette glass balconies, and English kitchens. The master bath reportedly includes his and her vanities, a steam shower, and a Kohler cast-iron bathtub.
The rent for their accommodation is estimated to be around $16,000 per month. While the couple typically resides in Los Angeles, it remains unclear whether they also live together there.
Their move to New York is considered temporary, but both are reportedly “very happy” with their new living arrangement and settling down together. According to the source, they have been considerate neighbors and are enjoying this phase of their relationship.
There’s speculation that The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, has thoughts of “starting a family” with Gomez. “He has thought about starting a family with Selena at some point down the line, maybe in a few years,” another insider revealed. “He has told her that he would want to have a girl because nothing would be better for him than to have a cute little Selena look-alike bouncing around.”
Previously, in 2015, Justin Bieber had mentioned that he lived with Gomez during their teenage years and considered it the best time of his life. The former couple, both pop stars, dated from 2011 to 2015.
Recently, Gomez has been seen in Manhattan, where she was spotted filming a Woody Allen movie dressed in a beige trench coat on Monday.
