Selena Gomez and Martin Short made a stylish entrance at Deadline’s Contenders Television event, held at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles on Saturday. The co-stars from “Only Murders in the Building” showcased coordinated fashion choices on the red carpet.

Gomez, 29, dazzled in a pink minidress with a high neckline and waist cutouts, paired with a matching cropped jacket adorned with large, gold-rimmed black buttons and front pockets. She completed her look with gold hoop earrings, black pointed-toe pumps, and styled her shoulder-length hair in a chic half-updo, complemented by a glossy light pink lipstick.

Short, 72, opted for a playful touch with a pink and white striped tie, which he paired with a crisp white dress shirt and a brown and gray checkered suit, rounded off with black dress shoes.

The pair, clearly enjoying their time at the event, posed happily together and also took photos with “Only Murders in the Building” co-creators John Hoffman and Elgin James. Co-creator and co-star Steve Martin joined them virtually for a panel discussion about the upcoming second season of the popular Hulu series.

The show, which features Gomez, Short, and Martin as amateur sleuths and true-crime podcast hosts, is set against the backdrop of their luxurious Manhattan apartment building, The Arconia. Filming for the second season began last December in New York City.

In an August interview with Glamour, Gomez expressed her admiration for her co-stars, referring to Steve and Martin as her “two crazy uncles.” She praised their timeless humor and shared her excitement about learning from the comedy legends. Gomez also mentioned seeking advice from them on various aspects of life, including career and love. The best advice she received, according to Gomez, was to “not rush” and to appreciate the present moment and her own value.
