They currently have at least eight residences dispersed across the country. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, a strong couple in the entertainment industry, have continued to add to their collection by spending $11.3 million on a large property in Hidden Hills, a guard-gated neighbourhood well-known for being the home of Drake, Kaley Cuoco, Kylie Jenner, and Jeffree Star.
The two-story home, built on speculative land last year, has more than 10,000 square feet of interior area and is advertised as a “Napa Modern” residence. The Smiths bought the property for around $1 million less than the original asking price of $12.2 million. The estate, which was completed in early 2020 and built on speculative grounds, has been for sale since June of last year.
The 1.2-acre property is privately located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac behind a long driveway, and it sits atop a ridge with views of a sizable portion of the San Fernando Valley.
A double-height entrance with views of the entire house, an open kitchen with two islands and a spacious pantry, a soundproof movie theatre with velvet walls, and a game room with a wet bar are just a few of the modern amenities found inside the all-neutral interiors. There includes a formal dining room with a glass-enclosed refrigerated wine cabinet, a gym with its own steam shower and other amenities.
The main suite upstairs has a fireplace, a sitting space, two dressing rooms, a built-in refrigerator and a coffee bar. Each of the home’s six bedrooms includes an ensuite bathroom. Stone loggias outside lead to a full outdoor kitchen with BBQ and an infinity-edged pool with an attached spa, making them ideal for outdoor entertaining.
The backyard also includes a full-size sports court, a campfire seating area, and what the ad refers to as a “serenity lounge.” Surprisingly, the property just contains a few trees surrounding the mansion; there is no vast grassy yard or much landscaping. However, this should save the Smiths money on upkeep costs.
The home’s magnificent rooms will most likely be changed into something more modern by an interior designer engaged by the new owners. In Architectural Digest, the couple’s $42 million mega-estate outside Calabasas, which has been their primary property for many years, was recognised for its distinctive Moroccan-inspired decor, rich hues, and quirky furniture.
