Travis Kelce blames Taylor Swift after fan admits she ‘literally almost died’ after meeting the Chiefs star

Travis Kelce is still adjusting to his heightened fame since he began dating Taylor Swift. In a TikTok clip shared on Sunday, the 34-year-old Kelce was seen approaching a group of fans while in practice gear and asking them, “What are you guys doing in my hallway?” One fan responded, “You just took my wife’s breath away—she literally almost died.”Taylor Swift's London Eras Tour: Paramore and RAYE among support acts confirmed for return to Wembley | Evening Standard

Kelce, unfazed by the unexpected comment, cleverly responded that his wife had simply experienced the “Taylor Swift effect” upon seeing him, which elicited laughter from the group.Travis Kelce blames Taylor Swift after fan admits she 'literally almost died' after meeting the Chiefs star | Daily Mail Online

Earlier in August, Kelce expressed his frustration with being apart from Swift as they manage their long-distance relationship amid his NFL preseason and her touring schedule. An insider told Life & Style, “He can’t miss training camp to follow her, and he only has a day off at a time. With her tour dates in Europe for the next month, it makes sense for her to stay and finish her tour while they do long distance for a few weeks.”Travis Kelce Candidly References Taylor Swift at Chiefs Training Camp - Parade

Kelce and Swift’s evolving relationship follows a year after the three-time Super Bowl champion attended one of Swift’s Eras Tour concerts at Arrowhead Stadium and publicly mentioned trying to give her his number. On July 26, 2023, Kelce shared on the New Heights podcast that he attempted to give Swift a friendship bracelet but was disappointed she couldn’t talk before or after her shows due to vocal strain. When his brother Jason clarified whether he meant his phone or jersey number, Travis responded, “You know which one.”

Swift later revealed they went on several dates privately before publicly debuting their relationship at a Chiefs-Bears game in September. Swift told TIME Magazine, “We started hanging out right after that podcast episode. We actually had a significant amount of time that was private, which I’m grateful for, as it allowed us to get to know each other. Some people might think they saw our first date at that game, but we would never be so dramatic as to publicly launch a first date.”
