Reality TV stars Kim and Khloe Kardashian embraced a spiritual journey during their recent trip to Mumbai, India. The sisters, who were in the city to attend the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, took a break from their busy schedule to visit the ISKCON Chowpatty temple (Sri Sri Radha Gopinath Mandir).
Hosted by Jay Shetty and his wife Radhi Devlukia, who were also guests at the wedding, the Kardashians received a warm welcome at the Radha Gopinath temple. They participated in traditional rituals, offering flowers to the deities and honoring Srila Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON. Their visit included engaging conversations with Radhanath Swami and Gauranga Das.
Kim and Khloe also had the chance to engage in seva, serving sanctified food to children through the temple’s Annamrita food-relief program, which distributes over 2 million meals daily. Kim Kardashian shared her appreciation on Instagram, stating, “Thank you @jayshetty and @radhidevlukia for this beautiful experience at the temple and the opportunity to connect with these small souls. I’m forever grateful.” Khloe Kardashian also expressed her gratitude, giving a “major shout-out” to their hosts and praising the magical temple experience. She said, “So blessed to have the experience with such beautiful souls.”
Jay Shetty took to social media to express his thanks, noting, “So grateful to @Kimkardashian and @Khloekardashian for their openness and curiosity about the culture and temples of India.”
For Jay Shetty, the visit held special significance as he had previously spent three years living in India and the UK as a monk, including time at the Radha Gopinath temple’s ashram. In his best-selling book “Think Like A Monk,” Shetty reflects on his transformative experiences, which included meditation, scriptural study, and involvement in environmental and charitable efforts.
The Kardashians’ visit, arranged by Shetty and Devlukia, not only showcased the cultural and spiritual richness of ISKCON but also highlighted the universal values of compassion and service that transcend cultural boundaries.
