Tensions behind the scenes are reportedly escalating to the point of being ‘Too Much’ for the pair.

The anticipated Spice Girls reunion is said to have been ‘scrapped’ after Geri Horner allegedly ‘pulled the plug’ on the potential tour.

This development follows rumors of a renewed feud with Mel B, 49, after her bandmate posted a ‘snide’ comment on her birthday. The Spice Girls were reportedly in talks about scheduling new tour dates.

There were even speculations that the band had reached out to Victoria Beckham, 50, who was absent from the 2019 Spice World Tour, for a possible cameo.

However, an insider informed Mail Online that, due to an alleged renewed conflict between Mel B and Geri, 51, the pop star-turned-author is said to have withdrawn from any future projects entirely.

A source told The Mail: “Geri has been through a lot with the drama surrounding her husband’s relationship with his assistant. She’s had enough and has lost patience with Mel and her constant jabs. She’s decided to walk away, and without Geri, the project is unlikely to proceed. Geri has always been a key player in the group, but she currently has no desire to deal with Mel, let alone perform with her.”

The Sun has reached out to a representative for Geri for comment.

The two were once close, and Mel even suggested there might have been a brief fling between them in the past.

However, a new conflict appears to have created a rift within the band. Mel recently took to Instagram to wish her bandmate a “Happy 75th Birthday” with a series of old photos that some fans found unflattering and potentially a reference to previous accusations that Geri had lied about her age.

The insider added, “Their relationship has always been difficult, but things have become very messy now, and no one has been able to resolve the issues between them—so the project is off.”

This follows a reported chilly encounter between Geri and Mel at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration. According to a source, “Mel tried to mend things with Geri at the party, but it didn’t go well. Mel seemed to be trying to lighten the mood, but Geri was uninterested and walked away. During the group photo, Geri stayed as far from Mel as possible, which was quite awkward. Geri was there to celebrate Victoria and enjoy the event, not to address Mel’s past comments.”
