Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran had a reunion in New York City on Thursday following the conclusion of the North American leg of her Eras Tour. The duo, known for their past collaborations, enjoyed a meal at the exclusive Zero Bond social club. As they left the venue, they were surrounded by security and exited separately.
Swift, 33, made a stylish exit in a rust-toned dress with a flowing satin skirt, paired with black platform loafers and a Louis Vuitton purse. Her dirty blonde hair was styled in a braid, and she accessorized with gold jewelry. She headed towards a chauffeured SUV parked outside the club.
Sheeran, 32, kept it casual in a white T-shirt and black skinny jeans, completing his look with Jordan 1 Retro High OG Washed Black sneakers and a ball cap that concealed most of his ginger hair. He was seen walking in the opposite direction with his security team, without joining Swift in her vehicle.
Swift is currently enjoying a rare break after wrapping up the first two legs of her Eras Tour, which included six sold-out shows at Inglewood’s SoFi Stadium. The tour, which began in March in Glendale, Arizona, was originally set to end in Los Angeles on August 9 but has been extended with additional dates in the US and Canada for next year. Swift will continue her tour in South America later this month, with performances scheduled in Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil through November.
Sheeran’s outing with Swift came just days after he revealed he hasn’t yet been involved in any of Swift’s re-recorded albums. In a recent interview on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM podcast Deep & Shallow, Sheeran shared that he and Swift haven’t discussed re-recording their 2017 hit “End Game,” which also features Future. He mentioned that while he would love to see Swift’s tour, his own schedule doesn’t currently allow for it. However, he hopes to catch one of her UK shows next year.
Swift’s upcoming release is 1989 (Taylor’s Version), set for October 27, 2023. This re-recorded album will include five previously unreleased tracks from the original 1989 sessions. This release marks Swift’s fourth re-recorded LP, part of her strategy to regain control over her music following a dispute over her master recordings.
The single “End Game,” which was the third single from Swift’s 2017 album Reputation, has not yet been re-recorded. The timing for re-recording Reputation may be constrained by contractual agreements, but Swift’s re-recording of her earlier albums continues to progress.
