Raye has expressed her heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to open for Taylor Swift’s final London show of her Eras Tour at Wembley Stadium. The 26-year-old singer was one of five opening acts selected for Swift’s five-night run at the iconic venue from August 15 to 20.
On Instagram, Raye shared a series of photos from her performance, including a touching image of her hugging Taylor Swift. Among the posts was a handwritten note from Taylor, in which she expressed her admiration for Raye. The note read: “Raye, I am such a massive fan of yours and have been for years. I can’t believe my luck that you said ‘yes’ and are joining us for such an important night on The Eras Tour, our last night at Wembley! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Raye also showcased the envelope with Taylor’s personalized wax seal featuring her initials ‘T S.’ In her caption, Raye wrote: “So grateful to open for @taylorswift, so grateful for the festivals and shows, so grateful people actually turn up to see us now, so grateful to be a musician, so grateful Instagram let me add more pictures in my dump. Big kiss from me.”
In her stories, Raye shared a snap of herself with Taylor Swift, adding: “Thank you @taylorswift for everything. You are the loveliest, sweetest human and I am so grateful.”
