Taylor Swift recently flew to Tokyo to kick off her eagerly awaited 1989 World Tour. However, she was back in Los Angeles on Friday, where she was spotted having lunch with a friend in Beverly Hills.
Taylor flaunted her toned legs, famously insured for $40 million, as she arrived at Jack N’ Jill’s Too. She wore a form-fitting navy blue long-sleeved T-shirt tucked into high-waisted floral-patterned shorts, accentuating her long, athletic legs. Her look was completed with black heeled ankle booties and a small pink purse.
She accessorized with a charm necklace featuring her beloved cat Meredith, a birthday gift from close friend Lena Dunham. Taylor’s blonde hair was styled straight, and she sported a red manicure and her signature red lipstick.
Fresh from Japan, where she launched her 1989 World Tour to over 100,000 fans, Taylor tweeted: “The 1989 World Tour has officially started. I love you. I love you. I love you.” She also posted, “I was so happy tonight. See you next time, Tokyo. Next up, we bring the whole ’89 show to Rockin Rio in Vegas,” referring to her next tour stop on May 15. Taylor is also gearing up for the release of her new video for “Blank Space,” set to debut at the Billboard Music Awards on May 17.
The video, directed by Joseph Kahn, features black and white posters splattered with red ink and lyrics like “Band-Aids Don’t Fix Bullet Holes.” It’s expected to include a star-studded cast of Golden Globe winners, Emmy winners, Grammy winners, an Oscar nominee, blockbuster movie stars, and iconic supermodels.
Although details about the video are scarce, it’s rumored to reference her ongoing feud with Katy Perry. Lyrics like “You say sorry just for show / You live like that, you live with ghosts” and “Still got scars in my back from your knives” suggest a personal dig at Perry, who allegedly tried to undermine Taylor’s Red tour by poaching her dancers and crew.
The video for “Bad Blood” will premiere at the Billboard Music Awards, where Taylor has amassed 14 nominations across 13 categories for the 1989 album, making her the top-nominated artist.
