Bruno Mars redefined “pushing the limits” on Wednesday when he attempted to maneuver a shopping cart nearly as tall as himself. The pint-sized singer was almost completely obscured by the cart, which was overflowing with groceries.
Bruno, 28, and his girlfriend Jessica Caban, 32, made a trip to Vons supermarket for some grocery shopping. They appeared to have taken a page out of “Supermarket Sweep” as Bruno struggled to push the heavily laden cart back to their car.
Dressed casually in a Mickey Mouse sweatshirt, Nike shorts, and an LA baseball cap, the typically polished performer looked quite different from his usual stage persona. At 5 feet 5 inches tall, Bruno seemed unbothered by the cart’s height, which came up to his chest.
Showing a down-to-earth side, Mars queued at the checkout alongside other shoppers. Jessica, an American model, looked effortlessly stylish in faded denim jeans, a white T-shirt layered with a loose red top, and white sneakers, her long wavy hair cascading down.
The couple, who have been together since 2011, reside in Mars’ $3 million mansion in Los Angeles. Recently, Bruno participated in a special concert celebrating the 40th anniversary of the iconic “Rumble in the Jungle” boxing match between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. Bruno praised Ali for his steadfast beliefs, humanitarian efforts, and kindness.
With just two dates left on his 155-date Moonshine Jungle World Tour, Bruno has announced plans for his third album. He shared his excitement with Twitter followers, saying, “Now it’s time to start writing chapter 3. See you soon hooligans. Brunz.”
In November, Mars will also make an appearance at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Glasgow, where he is nominated for Best Live Performance alongside Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, and One Direction.
