Sipping champagne on the balcony of his mansion, P Diddy instructed guests to “put the kids away,” as his White Party was set to shift to a more adult atmosphere.
For over ten years, the billionaire rapper hosted exclusive parties attended by A-list celebrities in luxurious locations like the Hamptons, Saint-Tropez, and Beverly Hills. Notable guests included Leonardo DiCaprio, Kim and Khloe Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Paris Hilton, designer Donna Karan, and Ivanka Trump.
These extravagant events featured topless women in the pool while Diddy poured champagne on them. However, as the 54-year-old, whose real name is Sean Combs, now faces serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, troubling details about the White Parties have emerged. A former go-go dancer, Adria Sheri English, claims she was drugged and forced into sexual acts during the events.
Additionally, music insider Tom Swoope alleges that Diddy offered an 18-year-old a record deal in exchange for performing a sexual act on a bodyguard. A drug dealer who attended the parties expressed concerns that the drinks being served were laced with illegal substances.
These alleged debaucheries reportedly occurred after 2 a.m. when many guests had left. Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all charges and denies accusations from former associates regarding forced sexual encounters.
Reflecting on the parties, Diddy once stated, “They gonna be shutting them down. They gonna probably be arresting me — doing all types of crazy things just because we want to have a good time.” He recognized from the start that his exclusive White Parties, known for their strict all-white dress code, could lead to controversy. After the first event in 1998, where he celebrated winning a Grammy, he commented, “You’re going to hear about my parties.”
The inaugural White Party attracted over 1,000 guests, including Paris Hilton, who described it as “iconic.” Attendees knew that anything less than pure white attire would result in exclusion, with invites even sent out on white boxer shorts the following year.
Throughout the years, the parties continued despite legal troubles, including a 1999 incident involving gunfire at a New York nightclub that drew in Jennifer Lopez. Even after Diddy was acquitted of those charges, he continued hosting lavish gatherings.
Guests were treated to drinks served by women in angel wings, but some felt uncomfortable with the atmosphere. Amy DuBois Barnett, former editor-in-chief of Honey magazine, recounted feeling objectified by male guests.
Recent resurfaced footage showcases Diddy urging guests to indulge in the celebrations, asserting, “We fed you all, we gave you drinks, now it’s time to enjoy life.” However, as the night progressed, darker aspects of his parties allegedly unfolded.
A dancer named Adria, who attended parties in 2004 and 2005, claimed in a recent lawsuit that she was coerced into sexual acts while under the influence of drug-laced alcohol. Reports of drug use and sexual encounters among celebrities also surfaced, with some attendees choosing to leave the scene.
Adria eventually quit attending these events, particularly after witnessing unsettling conditions in Miami in 2008, including the presence of secret cameras. She plans to testify against Diddy in upcoming trials, aiming to see him face severe consequences.
The last of the White Parties occurred on the Fourth of July in 2009, with attendees like Ashton Kutcher and Russell Brand. Diddy remarked on the occasion, “I thought it was time to share the sexiness and glamour of the White Party with all of my friends and family in LA.”
Despite claims that he changed his behavior after the parties, accusations from his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura suggest otherwise. She alleged that Diddy forced her into degrading situations, and a leaked video from 2016 showed him assaulting her. Recently, he has faced court allegations related to similar abusive behavior.
