LAS VEGAS. Millions of dollars, heavyweight titles, glitz, and glamour are all meaningless to Tyson Fury until he can return to Morecambe and pull a gypsy wagon.
Despite being one of the most well-known athletes in the world and having a net worth of almost £100 million, Fury is very different outside of the ring.
Earlier this year, a heartwarming three-part ITV program demonstrated his devotion to his heritage.
Fury, his five children, and his wife Paris, who recently came clean about concealing a miscarriage from him, still reside in Morecambe.
They cut the fat off his bacon at the local cafe, gym, and pub, which he likes.
And he was caught on camera pushing the wagon down the street as if it were completely normal.
He has always had a taste for the eccentric, of course; on World Book Day, when he was ten, he dressed up as Rambo.
Fury, also known as the Gypsy King, takes pride in his Gypsy ancestry. The wagon he carts around is similar to the one his grandparents were born in.
“People ask me, ‘Why don’t you live in California or America?'” the 31-year-old WBC heavyweight champion remarked. Why would I?
“Why would I leave my own nation in exchange for a little cash and some notoriety?
“I adore it. I would stay in Morecambe forever. It is genuinely beautiful. Every home in this area would be worth a million pounds if the weather were better.
Even yet, he finds it difficult to give up the perks of his extravagant lifestyle, such as the Marbella property, the £166,000 Ferrari, and the chinchilla coat.
Paris and Tyson, who previously promised his Rolex to anyone who could knock him out, debate which automobile to bring to the hair salon in one hilarious scene.
Paris replied, “Tyson, can I take the Ferrari down to the hairdressers?”
“What are you trying to be posh for?” was the boxer’s response after he dropped 10th place by substituting protein water for beer.
.
In response, his girlfriend said, “I’m not trying to be posh!”
“Well take the Roller then!” joked Fury.
Nevertheless, father John maintains that his son is a modest local gypsy rather than a fame-seeking superstar.
“No matter what he does, Tyson will always be a gypsy,” he remarked.
“He’s going to live a luxurious lifestyle, better than many gypsies, but he’s still a gypsy, isn’t he?
“Tyson is unlike any other gypsy that has ever existed. It is a divine gift. You can’t teach him what he has.”
